Piriton is only really effective in mild cases. I have heard that salmon oil added to the diet is good for dogs with allergic skin conditions, but as I havent used it yet I cant guarantee it. We did have a Skye Terrier with eczema and this was caused by commercial pet food, we had to cook our own meat and serve with a plain biscuit.
