Go Lyoto, Go Belem!
LYOTO!!! KILL!!! KILL!!! KILL!!! Leave the decision to your FISTS & LEGS…not to the judges! Make them pay for doubting you! Just something you might want to notice carefully that happens during the fight…Notice that Shogun IS actually scared of you when you pressed him, that is, if you continue attacking after his one counter move. I see that consistently throughout the fight. F*** the critics! You ruled the fight! The Machida Era is here to stay.

im sure lyoto will make shogun pay next time around. he will leave no doubts in the rematch, if that is all shogun has then he should start training even harder.
This fight with Shogun will make you and teach you to become the future BEST from here on forward Lyoto!…..now u know yourself better after that fight. I know u have the samurai spirit and you will learn how to deal with Shogun’s Mauy Thai striking the 2nd time around. I will be looking towards your future battles and I will be cheering you on.
Caro Lyoto,

I’m a hugh fan of you Lyoto and the you definitely won the fight. I gave you 1,2,3 and 4,5 to Shogun. Even though Shogun came out with a good strategy, that wasn’t enough to beat the dragon. Go Lyoto!
I hope you knock Shogun out in a rematch.
you have the spirit man !
you give lessons to a lot of people by your way of fighting and your personalty, beyond the UFC and the sport in general. You have that other haven’t.
You surpass the competition and in fact represent the MMA at your own.
People believe in you, and care of you
Never give it up (i know you won’t), and keep improving. we are pride of you. And thank you for the power you give to all of us by your existence …
your superior is that why you looked so busted up show him what your made of what like u did in the first fight your a joke i didnt know your got busted ribs an a busted up face from “just chopping legs” you tried to knock him out you say if you did then an your the apparent champion then why didnt you actually he looked fine when the fight was over i cant wait to see him knock you out you dont have the power
to fight one must have strength:50% physical AND 50% mental and u obviously have both…many fighters don’t have this, shogun will up his game plan, but u will up yours with what you’ve taken from that fight, he found an opening in this fight, which was your legs…he knew he couldn’t hit u with his fists, so he had to find some other way to attack and that was your legs…try and dominate shogun’s legs this time.mentally, shogun is not up to par, but u are; use this to your advantage! good luck and God bless in your next fight!
What i saw was that you sometimes stroke Shogun strong, but he is like Matt Sera, he will never be rung, and finishing him will be always difficult. This is not the only way to win a UFC figth, even if it’s a very honorable. others ways : wound him enough that referee will stop ( as Georges Saint Pierre does with Matt Sera ); submit him. Usually, you finish wave of punches with a high kick, Shogun defends with his arms, so if you do high kick each time he tried to reverse you, back to the rope, one good kick ( maybe midle) should be enough (need only one). A chance that legs protections are not authorized, even Shogun wouldn’t definitely win. You’re the best. Does the fighting spirit be with you.
I have watched the fight several times, and I am a big fan. I would have to agree the opinion of the fight was swayed by the announcing as well. I have watched the fight without sound and it makes a difference. Did you take more damage than in past yes. Does that mean you lost the fight no. Train Hard and prove all the doubters wrong. Dont listen to everyone leading up to the fight and work with Andersen Silva . Your the Champ and wish you the best.
yeah lyoto go forward show for the world the power of shotokan karate ( nihon karate kyokay oss ) the spirit of the samurai never fails, ever take shogun down
Shogun won the fight and it sucks that Lyoto got the decision. I like both fighters so I didn’t care who won and it was pretty clear that Shogun was robbed. If Lyoto had any integrity, he would have given the belt of Shogun and asked for a rematch.
The Dragon is not only the Champion, is a life style too.

Lyoto é o melhor lutador do UFC.
Machida is the best fighter in the UFC. A person of a lot of fiber that has no fear when he enters the octagon. A family man, dedicated, focused and disciplined in what you want. You will be the winner of the rematch. I agree with the Kleiton Ferreira with the subject of marketing. It’s necessary focus and concentration. If you have a dream, go ahead, it is possible.
I have watched the fight many many times, and still have no idea where did people get the idea that Shogun had won…
I checked every single strike from both, everyone’s opportunities to finish the fight and i gave all 5 rounds to Machida.
All they say is, Machida’s lip was busted.
Come on… we all have seen really bloody and busted up fighters knock the opponent out, or submit him and make him tap…
So. lets be neutral and watch the fight closely…
Machida won fair and square.
And i’m 100% sure he will win the rematch, and wont leave it to the judges…
Go Lyoto!
